Internet of things

As name suggest, IoT refers to the connection of devices (other than obvious such as computers and smart-phones) to the Internet. Cars, kitchen appliances, and even heart monitors can all be connected through the IoT. This is the concept of basically connecting any device with an on/off switch to the Internet (and/or to each other). This includes everything from phones, refrigerators, washing machines, headphones, lamps.

How IoT works

IoT enabled Big Data and it consists of all the web-enabled devices that collect, send and act on data they acquire from their surrounding environments using embedded sensors, processors, and communication hardware. These “connected” or “smart” devices, can sometimes talk to other related devices and act on the information they get from one another.

Smart home are built on the principle that you are able to connect the devices and appliances in your home so they can communicate with each other and with you with the use of a Smartphone. We can connect devices & than operate them even we are far away from the, by the use Smartphone or even the Devices can operate themselves depending upon the conditions programmed with them, For example we lights automatically Switch Off & ON while receiving data about presence of some living being which can be felt with a sensor.
